Day 5 of a Month of Sonny: Strength, Being a Survivor and Walks—-This young lady was strength personified. From insisting on taking herself to treatment to doing back to back bone marrow biopsies without anesthesia; Sonny was the definition of strength. She used every ounce of that strength to will herself to be well enough to walk as a survivor in not only one Light the Night Walk, but two just 5 short months after a bone marrow transplant despite GVHD causing her discomfort. I often told her she was “bad ass” while on the soccer field, but that was absolutely nothing compared to the badassness she exuded while showing leukemia she WAS the boss. She is WHY we walk. She is WHY We advocate. #advocate #donate #itspersonal #joinus #lls #noonefightsalone #donatelife #Leukemiaawareness #somedayistoday #foreverasoccermom #bebrave #beatingcanceeisinourblood #lightthenight #myerie #endbloodcancer #lymphomaawareness #bethematch #donatelife #sunflowers #spreadsunshine #teamsonnyssunshine http://pages.lightthenight.org/wpa/ErieCo18/TeamSonnysSunshine
